FL Online Drop Database

Postby xZeliakx on Fri Aug 29, 2008 9:29 pm

Here is a new project for FL.
This online DB is done to list all the items that can be droped by any mob around FL (no item you get from work or cash shop only ^^).

The Db is pretty empy for now, just finished the code.

DB adress: http://fairydb.olympe-network.com/

If you want to help me fill the DB.
You can:
- reply here with the name of the item, level, where you drop it
- send a pigeon to Zel with items info
- Take screenshot of the drop
- or mail me the info to: fairy.db@gmail.com

Some preview of the db working.

Can we combine our database or something? :(
I vowed to myself that I'd have my own FL website up and running by the end of September :?

We have +/- the same thing except i don't add weight/value/exp

I'm not planning to make a big fl website like ironwolf where you can find everything about work, quest map, etc.
For me it's just a DB for people to find item they can drop with just 1 clic without having to browse a website for 10min.

But we can share info we collect for the items / use same topic to collect / forward info players send us if you want :)

Keep in mind that in some areas monsters will differ according to where you are on the map (and so drops will too)

I would love to see a cmplete drop database some day, although that might not happen any time soon, considering the rarity of certain drops and how few certain maps are hunted :)

I applaud you both in your work though, can't wait to see milambers site up too :P

If there is something special to know, like a place with higher mob it will be added to the Note field in the DB like " Drop found in the east part of the map where the higher lvl mob stand"

It will come a day... it will just take time to collect everything and help from everyone ^^

* Easy way to help to collect info:
- Take screen of the windows when you drop something while your mouse is over the map name, convert all your screen to something better than .bmp, zip everything and send me link/file :)
It will be faster for you ^^

like that:

few minor things:

Dessert -> Desert
Moutain climbing trail -> Mountain Climbing Trail
Black iron teak -> Black Iron Teak

I think that perhaps eventually when more items get added you might want to split equipment up in categories (armour / hats / etc..)

Perhaps order the basic items by lvl instead of name, but that's debatable :)

Maybe add a link to, or a map somewhere, so peolpe can easily find their way to the areas they just found the drops to be from.

All in all I'm liking it a lot :)
All the database stuff seems to being perfectly ^^

Just a little comment on the Dessert <-> Desert: the actual map is called Dessert Dungeon, so it's a typo in game. I think that keeping the typo's in the database is actually a good idea, otherwise you might confuse people.
Some drops will be known under 2 names as well, for instance pipa leaf is sometimes called a pipal leaf...
